Rex Allen Rutter, age 58 passed away early Sunday May 24, 2020 at his home. Rex was born on April 7, 1962 the son of the late Harold and Peggy (Seymour) Rutter in Lancaster, Ohio
Rex entered the work force early and traveled with a local Carnival Ride provider to county fairs and festivals. Over 20 years ago that company set up at the Ripley County Fairgrounds and Rex would meet Carolyn Warner and the two of them were united in marriage on April 7, 2007.
They would stay in Osgood and Rex began to work for Aspen Tree Service. They always tried to do a special outing for their anniversary. Rex always tried to support his kids and grandchildren in every event they did. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.
Rex is survived by wife Carolyn, daughter Marlee (Bill) Hannum, sons; David A Smith Jr. and Ryan A. Smith, brothers Terry Rutter, Bob Rutter, Harold Rutter, and John Rutter, sister Theresa Cox, grandchildren Dalton Smith, Violet Hannum, Lily Hannum, Daisy Hannum, and Janie Hannum, along with other grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lavera “Sis” Craiglow.
