OSGOOD, IN — Retired Indiana State Police Detective Phil Mohr has passed away.
Mohr was with ISP from 1967 until his retirement from the Versailles Post in 2001.
He was honored in October as the Citizen of the Year by the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce.
Mohr reflected at the time on his 34-year career and called the award “humbling.”
“It also told me that what you do matters,” Mohr said. “And people were watching. What you do matters.”
In addition to his time with the State Police, Mohr served on the Ripley County Sheriff’s Merit Board and the Jac-Cen-Del School Board.
Phil Mohr was 76.
