(Batesville, IN) – Batesville residents stopped by Romweber Party Place Tuesday evening to sound off on what they would like to see in the city’s core.

Gathering thoughts on what people like, don’t like or their hopes for the area are part of an effort by the city and Batesville Main Street to revitalize downtown.

HWC Engineering will use the information and opinions to develop a plan, which could go before city council by September.

Batesville Main Street Director Amy Pretzer says, once that happens, they can start applying for grants and begin the revitalization process.

She adds funding for the downtown revitalization plan come from both Hillenbrand foundations and the city’s Redevelopment Commission.
