Rep. Frye honors volunteer firefighters

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — State Representative Randy Frye (R-Greensburg) honored Indiana volunteer firefighters who have served their communities for 50 years or more.

Frye recognized 62 volunteer firefighters who have devoted at least 50 years to protecting Hoosiers.

According to Frye, Hoosiers are served by 847 volunteer fire and rescue departments across Indiana.

These volunteer firefighters usually maintain full-time jobs, while serving the fire department on a part-time basis after completing required training
