Registration open for Outdoor Women at Big Oaks

MADISON, Ind. — The Big Oaks Conservation Society and Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge are hosting the 13th annual Outdoor Women at the Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

The event is held at the historic Old Timbers Lodge.

Outdoor Women at Big Oaks is a one-day program designed to offer women ages 12 and over the opportunity to gain valuable field skills in an environment that encourages fun and success in the outdoors.

The program teaches outdoor skills to women through a variety of courses including fishing, archery, shooting sports, wilderness survival, outdoor photography, canoeing/kayaking, bird watching and more.  Registration forms can be obtained online at http://www.fws.gov/refuge/big_oaks/ or call 812-273-0783 to have a form mailed.
