After an 11-7 win over Oakland on Friday, the Reds split the final two games of their series.
On Saturday, it was a solo home run in the 3rd by Luke Maile and a two-run double in the top of the ninth by Jake Fraley that got the Reds the run support they needed in their 3-2 comeback victory over the Athletics.
In Sunday’s game, the Reds fell victim to a walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth by Oakland’s Esteury Ruiz in a 5-4 loss. Nick Senzel went 2-4 in the game with a home run.
Cincinnati’s record is now 12-16 on the season. They head to San Diego on Monday night to begin a 3-game set with the Padres. Coverage begins on 103.9 WRBI at 9:10 pm with first pitch at 9:40 pm.
