The Reds dropped their third consecutive Cactus League game Friday falling to the Angels 7-6. The LA Halos got to Cincy pitching early with six runs in the first three innings.
Offensively for the Redlegs, Aramis Garcia homered and singled with two RBI, Brandon Drury went deep and drove in two while Nick Senzel had three hits and a ribbie.
Cincinnati got back on the winning side of the ledger Saturday with a 6-3 decision over San Diego.
The Reds Kyle Farmer had a solo homer. Joey Votto and Senzel both had two hits. Votto also drove in a pair of runs.
And the Redlegs capped the weekend with a 15-4 route of Arizona on Sunday. The Queen City boys posted eight runs in the second inning.
Votto, Aristides Aquino, Tommy Pham and Cristian Santana all went deep off Diamondback pitching. Aquino’s dinger was a grand slam. He had five RBI in the contest. Votto and Colin Moran both had a three-hit day. Moran batted in four runs.
