Raymond Otto Robbins, 77 of Westport, Indiana passed away in the comfort of his daughters home on June 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. He was born on November 1, 1948 in Greensburg, Indiana to Perry and Catherine (Cook) Robbins. He lived in Decatur County for 50 years; prior to that he resided in Indianapolis. He received his bachelor’s degree from I.U. Indy. He had previously worked at Conseco Insurance; RCI Travel Company; Delta Faucet; and was a substitute teacher in the Jennings County Schools. He served as a board member for Sandcreek Township and was also a member of the Decatur County Republican Party. Raymond enjoyed running and attending his kids and grandkids sporting events. He also really enjoyed playing the Lottery. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He married Patricia Mae Ruble on June 12, 1971 in Westport, Indiana. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2021. Survivors include his daughters, Suzette Marie Clos of Indianapolis and Gracie Mae Robbins of Greensburg; his son, Ray Boyd Robbins of Westport; One sister, Maude Smith of Indianapolis; and two brothers, Albert Robbins and Jim Robbins both of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, William Robbins of North Vernon, Derick Manuel of Greensburg, Justyn Clark of Indianapolis, Dakoda Ogle of Greenfield, Dustyn Ogle of Ingalls, Leyla Miller of Indianapolis; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patricia; grandson, Kevin Manuel, II; his brother John; and two sisters, Kathy and Sherry. A funeral service will be held on Friday June 12, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Officiating the service will be Rev. Glenn Black. Place of burial will be at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Thursday June 11, 2026 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to assist with funeral expenses through the funeral home.
