Raver retiring as Hillenbrand CEO, Ryan to take the helm

Batesville, IN — Joe Raver is retiring as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hillenbrand, Inc. at the end of this year. Raver has led the Batesville-based company since 2013. During his time as CEO, Hillenbrand grew from a $600 Million death care business in North America to a $2.5 Billion global diversified industry.

Hillenbrand’s Board of Directors have appointed Kimberly Ryan to succeed Raver as CEO, effective January 1, 2022. She’ll also join the board on that date, and will immediately become Executive Vice President of Hillenbrand.

Ryan joined the Batesville Casket Company in 1989, and in her 33 years with Hillenbrand has held many senior roles. Since 2015, she has been President of Coperion, Hillenbrand’s largest business, which under her leadership experienced 30% revenue growth to approximately $1 Billion in 2020.
