Ralph C. Bruns, 92

Ralph C Bruns, 92, Millhousen, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at his residence. Born July 22, 1926 in Millhousen, Indiana, he was the son of Dr. Alfred J. and Margaret C. (Witkemper) Bruns.  He graduated from Napoleon High School.  He then served as a Sergeant in the Korean War with the Army.  Ralph started as a bricklayer and then with the Brothers 4 formed the Bruns Brothers Masonry business that later became the Bruns and Gutzwiller General Contractors in Batesville.  He was a member of the Knights of St. John and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  He served for several years on the board of the Gibault School for Boys.   He was married to Rosemary C. Lee on October 4, 1950 and she preceded him in death on May 8, 2012.He is survived by six daughters, Janie (Thomas Sterrett) Bruns, Shelbyville, Kay (Terry) Maddux, Greenwood, Linda (Thomas) Burns, Indianapolis, Sandy (David) Dunbar, Westfield, Susie (Scott) Jost, Noblesville, Karen (Ed) Kauffeld, Indianapolis; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; three brothers, Dale E. Bruns, Donald F. Bruns, Robert J. Bruns; one sister, Marita Heidlage. Family and friends will gather at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home to pray the rosary.   Visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 9-10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Bill Turner officiating. Interment with full military graveside rites will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
