Purdue, USI adjusting mask policies

WEST LAFAYETTE/EVANSVILLE, IN — A pair of universities in the State of Indiana are changing their face mask policies because of the declining number of coronavirus cases.

Purdue University will no longer require masks in classrooms or research spaces starting next Monday, March 14.

Some areas of the West Lafayette campus – such as healthcare settings – may still require masks.

Masks are now optional at the University of Southern Indiana.

Students at USI have been under a mask requirement since their return to campus in the fall.
