Public’s help requested in Union County property caretaker shooting

Union County, IN — Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an incident in Union County in which a property caretaker was shot after confronting four hunters who were on private property without consent.

The initial investigation indicates the incident happened Friday morning when the caretaker confronted the four who were hunting on the property without permission.

The confrontation escalated and resulted in the caretaker suffering a gunshot wound.

Conservations Officers did not release the caretakers’s condition, nor a description of the suspects.
