
(Greensburg, IN) – The City of Greensburg has four public safety community cookouts on the calendar for this year.
The first in the series will be held May 21 on N. East Street between Jorim Drive and 5th Street from 5 to 7 p.m.
The second is set for Saturday, June 13 at Rebekah Park in conjunction with the Ruff Runner 5K fundraiser benefitting the Greensburg Police Department’s K-9 program. The cookout will begin at Noon.
The event on Thursday, August 20 at North Park from 5 to 8 p.m. will be part of National Night Out and in celebration of America 250.
And the 2026 series will conclude on Thursday, October 15 with a cookout on N. Short Street between 10th and 11th streets from 5 to 7 p.m.
The public safety community cookouts were established in 2021 to engage residents with first responders in a positive setting.
They are free and open to the public, and are put on by the City of Greensburg and its police and fire departments.
