(Greensburg, IN) – Longtime Greensburg Community High School Social Studies teacher John Pratt is now a Sagamore of the Wabash.

Pratt was presented with the prestigious award Thursday morning at the school by State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg) and former State Rep. Cleo Duncan (R-Greensburg-Retired).

The Sagamore of the Wabash is presented to Hoosiers who have given distinguished service to the state or sitting governor.

Pratt is perhaps best known for conducting the semi-annual Decatur County Chautauqua. He established the program at North Decatur High School before he accepted a teaching position at his alma mater, Greensburg High School, where it is held each fall and spring.
