UPDATE as of 9:15 p.m.: Duke Energy is reporting power in the Batesville and Oldenburg area has been fully restored.
UPDATE as of 8:05 p.m: WRBI has received multiple reports of restored service for many customers in Batesville and Oldenburg.

BATESVILLE, Ind. – Nearly 1,500 Duke Energy customers are without power as of 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Homes and businesses lost electricity around 6 p.m. and the outage ranges from downtown Batesville, along S.R. 229 and into Oldenburg.
Batesville Police are warning drivers to treat intersections carefully as stoplights are not working.
Duke Energy estimates power to be restored around 8 p.m.
