Potts announces run for Indiana U.S. Senate seat

(Indianapolis, IN) – Indianapolis City-County Councilor Keith Potts is running for Indiana’s soon-to-be-open U.S. Senate seat in 2024.

Potts is the second Democrat to declare his candidacy.

He joins former State Representative Marc Carmichael in the race to succeed Republican Sen. Mike Braun, who is vacating the seat to run for Indiana Governor.

The lone declared Republican candidate in the race is Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03).

Libertarian Andy Horning is also in the running.
