Madison, IN —Troopers with the Indiana State Police and officers from multiple agencies are actively searching for Anthony Martinez, 30.
Martinez, who is approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, is wanted out of Louisville, Kentucky after he recently escaped from jail. He was being held in Louisville on numerous charges. Thursday afternoon and into late evening, officials were searching in the area of State Road 56 and State Road 3 near the Scott/Jefferson County line. Martinez was possibly seen on foot in the area on Thursday. He was possibly wearing a white or gray t-shirt and jeans. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
The suspect still has not been located. Sgt. Stephen Wheeles with the Indiana State Police says to continue to be cautious in the area. They ask citizens to keep doors locked and contact law enforcement if you see anything as the suspect should not be approached. Law enforcement is continuing to follow up on leads.
