UPDATE: Man found – Police need assistance with missing person

The Switzerland County Sheriff’s Department is pleased to inform the community that Jeffery Roark has been located alive and well.  Roark was located several miles from his home shortly before 10 am today by Switzerland County Sheriff Detective Joe Spilman.

A missing persons investigation was initiated on July 24th after Roark was reported missing by friends and family.  At this time, it does not appear that any foul play was involved according to the detective.

The sheriff’s department would like to thank the public for their concern by sharing information on social media.

 

UPDATE: July 31, 2019

Chris Curry with the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office stated that police along with family have searched the area around Roark’s home and found no evidence to his disappearance.  Curry asks that anyone with any tips, even if they seem insignificant, please contact the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office at 812-427-3636.

The Switzerland County Sheriff Office is asking for public assistance in a missing person investigation.

Jeffery L. Roark, age 61, was last seen at his residence along Parks Ridge Rd. on the evening of Wednesday, July 24. Family and close friends report having no contact with Roark since that time. Roark does suffer from serious health issues and is believed to be in need of medical attention.
