(Versailles, IN) – The Ripley County Prosecutor and Todd Click have reached a plea deal.
Click is a former case manager in the Indiana Department of Child Services (DSC) Ripley County office who was charged two years ago with Official Misconduct, Forgery (both Level 6 felonies) and Falsifying Records (Class A misdemeanor).
He was accused of entering false reports of home visits and family contacts into the DCS case management system and forged the signatures of parents and caregivers on required DCS forms.
Court documents indicate Click also allegedly falsified at least 10 case entries and forged signatures on at least seven forms, which put 11 Ripley County children and five families at risk.
The falsified and forged records were uncovered during an investigation conducted by the Indiana Office of Inspector General (OIG), which began in the spring of 2024.
Click pled guilty to Forgery and was sentenced on October 6 to 910 days in jail with 900 days suspended to probation credit for time served.
Ripley Superior Court Judge Jeff Sharp also ordered Click to complete 100 hours of community service.
If he completes probation without violations, Click will be eligible to petition the Court to have the conviction reduced to a misdemeanor.
All of the other charges against Click were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
