Pirates Boys Track Team Battles Grizzly Cubs

The Pirates Boys Varsity team competed against Franklin on Tuesday, falling by a score of 104-27.

The team had several great individual efforts, led by Daimon Austin, who took first in the long jump with a career best 19′ 9″ leap, second in the 100m dash with time of 11.57, and a third place long jump finish.  Luke Lozier won the high jump at 5′ 4″.   Second place ribbons went to Devin Hanna in the pole vault (8′ 6″), Hunter Butz in the 800m run (2:07.53) and Shawn Partlow in the 300m hurdles (48.37).

Butz also took third in the 1600m run, while other Greensburg third place finishers were Vincent Pavy in the 100m dash, Adam Hamiliton in the 200m dash, Nick Zapfe in the 400m dash.

The Pirates travel to Sunman on Friday to compete in the East Central Invitational.
