Phillip Kamp, 75 years of West Harrison, IN, passed away peacefully in his home during the early morning hours of January 7, 2025. Born in Connersville, IN, Phil grew up on the west side of Cincinnati, moving back to Indiana to live out his golden years.
In his younger years Phil enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing piano and listening to music. More recently he found joy watching his favorite teams, the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He was a diehard fan, even braving the arctic temperatures to attend the 1982 “Freezer Bowl” to root on the Bengals (who won by the way). A true Cincinnatian, he often indulged in a dinner consisting of Skyline cheese coneys and a UDF chocolate malt.
His love for buildings lead to his career in real estate during his working years. When not working, he spent time bird watching, enjoying plants and computers.
Phil was known for his sarcasm and practical jokes. You could always count on a laugh when he was around.
Phil will be missed by his children, Lee Kamp, Scott (Melissa) Kamp and Heather (Vincent) Morano; grandchildren Shaelyn, Carter and Zoe; and his brother John Kamp. Phil is preceded in death by parents John and Janice (Toni); siblings Jim and Kathy; and his ex-wife Georgia.
A private ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 11. Family and friends are encouraged to leave condolences at www.andres-wuestefeldfh.com.
