Peggy Charlene Johnson, age 71 of Batesville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. The daughter of Monroe Baker and Delores (Hicks) Dyer was born on May 28, 1952 in Batesville.
Peggy worked as a registered nurse for many years before retiring. She married Danny Johnson in December 1969.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Jason (Ede) Johnson and Brandy (Travis) Cox; son-in-law, Kevin (the late Casey) John; grandchildren Trever Turner, Karisa Turner, Austin John and Colton Cox; step-grandchildren, Tosha John, Josh John, Austin Cox and Marinda Cox; along with her siblings, Terry (the late Jim) Burckey, Kathy (Larry) Teters, Missy Baker, Jeff (Vivian) Baker, Mike Baker and brother-in-law, Donald (the late Debbie) Johnson; and her husband’s brothers, Terry (Hilda) Johnson, Steve Johnson, and Gary (Carolynne) Johnson.
In addition to her husband, Danny she was preceded in death by her daughter, Casey John and sister, Debbie Johnson and sister-in-law, Linda Palmer.
Cremation was chosen by the family. There will be no services at this time.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
