(Dearborn County, IN) – The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office has a warning about a paving scam.
According to the sheriff’s office, a company is going around the county, claiming they’re working for the Dearborn County Highway Department on a project in Bright, and say they have leftover asphalt and can give you a deal on driveway paving.
Deputies say the county highway department is not currently paving in Bright, and they don’t have contractors offering deals on extra asphalt or redoing driveways.
If you’ve been approached, you’re asked to get a description of the scammer’s vehicle and call the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office at (812) 537-3431.
