Paul Fuchs – Metamora

Paul F. Fuchs, of Metamora, was born on May 8, 1932 in Dearborn County, the son of John and Helen Fox Fuchs.  He married Edith “Eva” Hunter on December 26, 1953 and together they raised five children.  Paul was a heavy equipment operator and belonged to the Metamora Lions Club and the International Union of Operating Engineers.  He loved spending time with his family, building train sets, passing out candy at Halloween and going to car and tractor shows.  On Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the age of 86, he passed away at his residence.

 

Those surviving who will cherish Paul’s memory include his wife of over 64 years, Eva Fuchs; sons, John (Melissa) Fuchs of Belmont, OH, Terry Fuchs of Indianapolis, and Bill (Tammy Hall) Fuchs of Rushville; daughters, Janie Reynolds of Metamora and Connie Ragle (Art Hamilton) of Metamora; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Stanley Fuchs of Dover and several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Emma Huber and Mary Slade; 3 brothers, Frank, Jim and Raymond Fuchs, and one granddaughter, Tina Wanner.

 

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Metamora Church of God.  Pastor Wayne Ison will officiate the funeral service at 1 p.m. and burial will follow in Metamora Cemetery.
