Patsy L. Gross, 81, of Versailles passed away at 8:15 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at her home. She was born near Cannan on February 18, 1943, the daughter of Les and Daisy Wainscott Hamilton. She was married to Jim Gross on September 26, 1959 and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2010. Survivors include two sons Marty (Tammy) Gross and Jon Gross both of Versailles; one daughter Lori Beverly of Knoxville, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; one sister Brenda Adams. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dean Hamilton. Mrs. Gross was a homemaker and assister her husband in operating Gross Oil Company in Versailles. She enjoyed having her cats as pets and also feeding her backyard birds. Patsy was a member of the Shelby Christian Church for over 60 years. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 12 at the Grandview Memorial Garden near Madison with Randy Thieman officiating. Memorials may be given to the Ripley County Humane Society in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
