Patrick “Pat” Hemberger, age 88, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born the son of Earl and Christina (Hartl) Hemberger on October 2, 1935, in Plain, Wisconsin.
A 1953 graduate of Reedsburg High School, Pat married Lanita “Boots” Foss on February 22, 1966, in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, and went on to serve his country proudly with the United States Navy. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Harrison, Ohio.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, Boots Hemberger, his children, Sally (Brennan) Elkins, Nancy (Nick) Cain, and Joe (Jen Kelly) Hemberger, along with his seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Pat’s sister, Mildred Peterson, and sisters-in-law, Berta Hemberger and Lucy Hemberger also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Christina Hemberger, and his siblings, William Hemberger, Orvill Hemberger, Victor Hemberger, Leroy Hemberger, Teresa Enger, and Veleria “Sep” Hemberger, Erma Hemberger, and Marie Hemberger.
A private burial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Memorials may be made in memory of Pat Hemberger to Reedsburg Knights of Columbus or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
