Patricia “Patsy” A. Wesseler, 84, Greensburg

Patricia “Patsy” Ann Wesseler, age 84, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024. Born on June 7, 1940, in Hamburg, Indiana, she was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Patsy graduated from Batesville High School in 1958 and married her devoted husband, Bernard “Bernie” W. Wesseler, on June 29, 1960. Together, they built a warm and loving home where laughter and joy flourished.

A proud homemaker, Patsy dedicated her life to her family and community. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where her faith was a guiding light. Known for her warm hospitality, she loved throwing parties, dancing, and engaging with friends over a game of bingo. Her passion for gardening brought beauty to her home, and she found joy in solving word searches.

Patsy was particularly renowned for her baking, especially her famous “Patsy Cookies,” which brought smiles to everyone who tasted them. Her love for baking and sharing treats created cherished memories for family and friends alike.

She is survived by her two sons, David “Butch” Wesseler and Dale (Maria) Wesseler, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. Patsy is also survived by her sister, Josie Lecher.

Patsy was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Wesseler; daughter, Cindy Young; her parents, Aloysius and Dorothy Schebler; and three sisters and one brother.

Family and friends will gather to pray the rosary on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 3:30pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg, IN. Following the rosary a visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, also at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1331 E. Hunter Robbins Way, Greensburg, IN 47240. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg.
