Patch work on 229 to start week of May 9; Huntersville Road to close midweek

BATESVILLE, IN — INDOT contractor Paul H Rohe Construction is scheduled to start patch work the week of May 9 on State Road 229 from State Road 46 to the intersection with Central Ave.

All the patching will be done under flagging.

The road will not be closed but motorists can expect delays.

Signs have also been posted along part of Boehringer and Main streets asking drivers not to park on State Road 229 the week of May 9 until the patching is complete.

Huntersville Road will be closed starting Wednesday, May 11 from State Road 229 to the south side of Dogwood Trail. The project is expected to take several weeks.

INDOT and the City of Batesville want to remind drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones.

All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
