Osgood man formally charged in molesting investigation

Versailles, In. — Indiana State Police are investigating a Ripley County man in connection with a report of child molesting.

Court documents allege Versal Strunk, 31, of Osgood, babysat for an eight-year-old boy and a seven-year-old girl at his home. During an Indiana State Police investigation the children told a trained forensic interviewer from the Children’s Advocacy Center Strunk touched them and had sexual contact with them.

Following his arrest Friday night judge Jeff Sharp made a finding based on the probable cause information that could result in felony child molesting charges. The maximum sentence if convicted is 20 to 50 years in prison.
