ORVC weekly report ending April 8

The Ohio River Valley Conference has released its weekly report for March 27-April 8.

Milan’s Kynadee Bode earned ORVC Softball Player of the Week honors for the week of March 27-April 1. Bode threw a 12K no-hitter and contributed a double, a triple, and 3 RBI as a hitter in the Indians’ win against Oldenburg Academy.

South Ripley’s Brooklyn Brown received ORVC Softball Player of the Week honors week of April 3-April. In the 3 games played during the period, Brown had 2 home runs, 7 doubles, and 11 RBI.

Times and distances from the weeks of March 27-April 1 and April 3-April 8 were used in determining the Performers of the Week for track & field.

Earning Co-Performer of the Week honors in boys track and field were Ayden Potts (Milan) and Corbin White (Jac-Cen-Del). White threw 126’6″ in the discus and 44’5″ in the shot put, while Potts ran a 4:48.91 in the 1600-meter and a 10:47.17 in the 3200-meter run.

In girls track and field, it was Shelby Bastin (South Ripley) and Josie Havlin (Milan) who those honors.

Bastin had times of 5:53.72 in the 1600-meter run and 13:19.07 in the 3200-meter run. Havlin ran a 1:04.63 in the 400-meter dash and a 2:55.00 in the 800-meter run.
