ORVC weekly report ending April 15

The Ohio River Valley Conference has released its weekly report for the period ending April 15.

Congratulations to all area athletes who achieved Player/Performer of the Week honors.

South Ripley’s Mason McNew earned baseball Co-Player of the Week honors for his pitching performance in the Raiders 2-1 win over Oldenburg Academy. McNew threw a complete game, striking out 14 and allowing just 3 hits and 1 run.

Kynadee Bode (Milan) received Player of the Week honors in softball. Bode had a stellar week at the plate and on the pitcher’s mound. At the plate, Bode had 4 2B, a home run, and 8 RBI. As a pitcher, she went 3-0, striking out 25 in 18 innings pitched.

In boys track, Ben Riehle (Milan) earned Performer of the Week honors. Riehle posted top times in the 100-meter dash (11.36), the 200-meter dash (22.93), and the 400-meter dash (51.64) during the period.

In girls track, it was Emily Flood (South Ripley) who received Performer of the Week honors. Flood had top times in the high hurdles (15.37) and the 100-meter dash (12.94).
