Congratulations to area spring sport athletes who were named ORVC players and performers of the week.
The Baseball Co-Player of the Week for March 23-28 is Jac-Cen-Del’s Brody Huff, who had 3 RBIs, 2 hits (both doubles), and 2 stolen bases in three games.
Huff also pitched 9 innings, gave up 3 hits and struck out 17 in a win.
Brogan Buchanan from South Ripley is the Baseball Player of the Week for March 30-April 4.
Buchanan drove in 5 runs with 2 hits, 2 runs scored, and a stolen base against South Dearborn.
Kenna Eaglin from Milan is the Softball Player of the Week for March 23-28 after racking up 6 hits – including 2 home runs – 13 RBIs, and 11 runs scored in five games.
The Boys Track and Field Performer of the Week is Brady Begley from South Ripley.
Begley recorded top times of :11.08 in the 100, and :22.71 in the 200. The latter set a new school record.
