Ripley, County, In. — A Wednesday crash involving an empty bus from the South Ripley Community School Corporation injured one person.
A report from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department says the bus driver, Stephen Cranfill, 66, of Holton was attempting to cross U.S. 50 at 4:30 p.m. on Michigan Road. Cranfill failed to yield and was struck by a car driven by Michael Hornberger, 35, of Batesville.
No students were on the bus at the time of the crash. Hornberger refused treatment at the scene. Cranfill was transported to Margaret Mary Health.
