One Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash

(Ripley County, IN) – A Sunman man was flown to the hospital after a motorcycle crash on the 2200 block of West State Road 229 near Napoleon Wednesday evening.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy arrived on the scene around 8:20 p.m. and the investigation indicated the cycle operated by 48-year-old Daniel Rork went off the road for an unknown reason.

Rork was seriously injured and taken by helicopter to UC Medical Center.

Deputies say speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, while drugs and alcohol are not.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Osgood Police Department, Batesville Fire and Rescue, the Napoleon Fire Department, StatFlight Kentucky 11, Ripley County Communications and Tommy’s Diesel Shop.
