Five new COVID-19 deaths in the area as cases continue to spike

STATEWIDE — The Indiana Department of Health announced Tuesday that 3,641 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, as cases continue to spike around the state and country.

The number of cases around Southeastern Indiana reflects what’s going on around the state. Dearborn County reported 51 new cases and four deaths; Ripley County had 31; Decatur County reported 22 additional cases with one death and Franklin County had 20 new positive cases.

IDH says 3,058,170 people across the state are fully vaccinated.
