(Southeastern IN) – We’ll have one more scorcher before temperatures moderate over the weekend.
A Heat Advisory goes into effect today at Noon and runs through 10 o’clock tonight.
Heat index values above 100 degrees are expected.
The National Weather Service says the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity could cause heat illnesses to occur, especially among the most vulnerable.
You’re urged to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
You should also take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside, including rescheduling strenuous activities to early morning or evening, and wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, when possible.
