(Dearborn County, IN) – One person was injured in a farming accident on Whites Hill Road in northern Dearborn County on Monday night.
Bright firefighters were dispatched around 8:30 p.m. to a reported tractor accident, and found the operator trapped underneath.
A chainsaw was used to free the operator, whose name and condition weren’t released.
Bright Fire and EMS is thanking a number of people for their assistance in the successful rescue.
“A huge thank you to Harrison (Ohio) Fire Department and to the farmers and neighbor of the Whites Hill and Gaynor Ridge area who stepped up to help during tonight’s incident on Whites Hill,” the department wrote in a statement. “Your willingness to lend a hand is a reminder of what makes our community so special. Nights like this show the importance of strong mutual aid partnerships and neighbors helping neighbors. We truly appreciate everyone’s support.”
