SUNMAN, IN — The StatFlight medical helicopter was called to an ATV accident Saturday night on State Road 101 south of Sunman.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Christian Hirsch lost control of his ATV, crashed into a field, and was ejected from the vehicle near Krueger Maddux Greenhouse.
Hirsch was treated at the scene and then flown to the University of Cincinnati Trauma Center.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the driver for OWI.
The Sunman Fire Department, Ripley County Emergency Medical Services, and Indiana State Police also responded to the crash.
Deputies say Hirsch is from Cincinnati.
