(Bright, IN) – A man is dead following an apartment fire in Bright Friday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to an apartment building on Basket Lane around 1:30 p.m.
Six people were in the building at the time of the fire but one of them didn’t make it out.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
Three people who were displaced by the fire received assistance from the Red Cross.
Two firefighters were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the deadly blaze.
The Bright Fire Department received assistance from the Lawrenceburg. Greendale, Miller-York and Harrison, Ohio fire departments.
