CONNERSVILLE, IN — One person has been arrested in connection with a threat made against Connersville Middle School over the weekend.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says a juvenile posted a threat to Snapchat, which caught the attention of school officials who immediately notified law enforcement.
After an interview involving the juvenile and a guardian, an arrest was made for intimidation but the Sheriff’s Office did not say which person was arrested.
The student was not at Connersville Middle School on Monday.
School officials requested and received an increased police presence on campus Monday to help students, staff and parents feel secure in the return to classes.
The case has been turned over to prosecutors.
