Lawrenceburg, In. — Decorated skier and Lawrenceburg native Nick Goepper was recently spotted perfecting his craft on the slopes at Perfect North. The multiple medal winner and Winter Olympic hopeful posted this video on his Facebook page. In it he praises the facility and says he was skiing with his little brother as he works toward earning a spot on the U.S. team for the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Goepper has amassed four gold medals and a silver from the Winter X Games, a silver from Sochi, Russia in 2014 and a bronze medal from the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships.

Information from Goepper’s website says the 23-year-old began skiing at Perfect North Slopes when he was five.  “I took lessons in a ‘Ski-Doodles’ program. After my lessons, Mom would let me go up the rope tow and would catch me at the bottom. She needed to catch me because I couldn’t stop or turn.”
