Oldenburg’s close loss to Edinburgh, among Tuesday girls hoops results

Girls basketball recaps from Tuesday, November 30.

Edinburgh rallied to beat Oldenburg 42-37.

The Lancers turned the game in their favor on a 14-0 run.

For Oldenburg, Ellie Ryan had a double double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.  Ashley Borgman also scored 10 and had three steals. Rachel Lamping added seven points.

Switzerland County defeated Milan 61-33.

For the Indians, Makaylee Rivera led with 13 while six points each came from Riley Clark and Audrey Schmidt.

Rising Sun topped South Dearborn 49-36.

After Rising Sun led 29-14 at half, South Dearborn closed out the third trailing 35-28.  RS outscored SD by six in the fourth.

For the Shiners, Jenna Peelman had 18 points and nine rebounds.  Baylee Morris scored 16 and had five steals. Rising Sun outscored South Dearborn 17-4 at the line.

The Knights got 14 points from Natalie Rupp and eight from both Emily Elliott and Kiersten Dixon.

Class 2A-No. 1 Triton Central fought off Greensburg 59-46.

The Pirates held a two point lead early in the third until the Tigers rallied to go up 12 at the end of the third.

Mylie Wilkison headlined the Greensburg scoring with 23 points.  Kayla Tamm tallied 14.

TC put three players in double figure scoring.  Olivia Faust had 18 points, five rebounds and four assists. Brooklyn Bailey scored 13 and Maddy Brown bucketed 12.  Jenna Cox dished out nine assists and put in eight points.

Southwestern Shelbyville fell to Eastern Hancock 68-34.

The Royals saw four players tally 10 to 12 points: Emma Bolding 12, Caroline Stapleton 11, Grace Stapleton 11 and Sammie Bolding 10.  Bolding also had six steals and four assists.
