Oldenburg, IN — “Catch the Holiday Spirit…Under the Spires!” The town of Oldenburg, known as the Village of Spires, welcomes all to attend an all-day festival titled “Holidays Under the Spires.” The event takes place on December 2, 2017. This is the fifteenth year for Holidays Under the Spires.
Just a few events include: one of the area’s largest Arts & Crafts Fair, area choir performances, horse-drawn trolleys with Santa, shopping and dining, a free Kids Center for children to participate in the festivities from 12-3pm, an advent mass at 5:30pm at Holy Family, as well as a free performance by the Kolping Society of Cincinnati Sangerchor at 4:00pm. The Rural Alliance for the Arts performance of the Boar’s Head Festival will be at 7:00pm in the Sisters of St. Francis Chapel. “We have kept this event to become very traditional for families. We find that families come back year after year and love it – whether this is your first year or fifteenth, I think the best part of the event is the Christmas spirit that is felt in the community,” comments Jonathon Maple, Oldenburg Academy’s National Business Honor Society moderator and co-chair of the event.
For a complete listing of events, visit online or call 812.934.4440 ext. 228. The Holidays Under the Spires Facebook page will also be updated to include the events. Maple encourages all to attend, “This is a fun event for all ages, the whole community has worked hard for an enjoyable day to celebrate Holidays Under the Spires – come see what it is all about!”
