Columbus, Oh. — Minimum wage workers in Ohio get a pay raise as 2018 begins.
The rate increases to $8.30 from $8.15 as of January 1, 2018. The increase for workers who receive tips will increase to $4.15 from $4.08.
A report from Policy Matters Ohio says as many as 150,000 workers will benefit from the increase.
Ohio is one of 18 states in the nation increasing the minimum wage in 2018.
