Franklin County, IN — An overnight officer-involved shooting is under investigation in Franklin County.
Indiana State Police say a Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy and a suspect were both shot around 12:30 am on State Road 1 at US 52 near Cedar Grove.
The deputy suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was treated at the scene by EMS, and did not go to the hospital.
The suspect was taken to UC Medical Center in critical condition.
Meantime, a woman was shot at a second location on nearby Colonial Heights Drive.
She was taken to an area hospital but it’s not clear which one.
State Road 1 was closed in the area for several hours during the investigation and reopened around 4:30 this morning.
