Offensive struggles in South Ripley baseball’s 5-1 loss to Rushville

Despite a strong effort from starting pitcher Brady Ruble, the host Raiders could not overcome a lackluster offensive performance in a 5-1 loss to Rushville.

Ruble, a sophomore, made his first career varsity start, pitching 4 innings, giving up only 3 hits and 1 earned run with four strikeouts.
Freshman Trevor Castner pitched well in relief, allowing only 1 earned run in 3 innings.

Austin Hodge had two hits in three at-bats, while Mason McNew went 1 for 3 with an RBI.
