(Bright, IN) – Eleven departments battled a house fire on the 21,000 block of Jackson Ridge Road on Wednesday afternoon.
Upon arrival, firefighters and law enforcement quickly determined none of the occupants were inside the home.
The rapid spread of the flames and the home’s construction presented significant challenges, according to Bright Fire and EMS.
In addition, the lack of a nearby fire hydrant required a substantial amount of equipment and manpower.
Bright Fire and EMS received assistance from the Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Miller-York, St. Leon, Aurora, Manchester, Harrison (Ohio), Whitewater Township (Ohio), Miami Township (Ohio), and Sunman fire departments.
A crew from Batesville Fire and Rescue covered Bright’s nearby main station during the massive firefighting efforts.
The cause and damage estimate weren’t listed.
There were no injuries reported.
