Notre Dame Advance to the Women’s NCAA Sweet 16

The Notre Dame women are on to the Sweet 16 of Women’s March Madness. They clobbered Stephen F Austin on Friday and then did the same thing to Michigan on Sunday. Hannah Hidalgo led the Irish against the Wolverines with 21 points. Notre Dame is the only team from Indiana remaining in the women’s tournament. Indiana got through Utah in the first round but got beat by South Carolina on Sunday 63-54. Finally, the Ball State Cardinals gave a valiant effort but were beaten by Ole Miss in Waco on Friday.
