Greensburg, Ind. — The Greensburg-Decatur County Library will host astronomer Kevin Manning to talk about the solar eclipse that has been predicted for August 21 this year. Manning has worked as a consultant to NASA and the Chandra X-Ray Observatory launched on a space shuttle mission.
The program includes information about other celestial events and how to locate objects in the sky.
Lori Durbin, from the library says the family program is for anyone 8-years-old and up that is interested in space. It also includes an opportunity to go outside, weather permitting, to view actual sun spots using filters used by NASA.
