North Vernon police revive pregnant overdose victim

North Vernon, In. — North Vernon police revived a pregnant overdose victim over the weekend.

A report from the department says the call was received on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. from the 300 block of Gum Street. Police found Alicia Jones, 23, of North Vernon, unconscious and administered NARCAN.

Jones was revived at the scene and charged with outstanding warrants from Jennings County. During the investigation police found Zachary Perry, 26, of Columbus, hiding under a car in the garage of the property. Perry was taken into custody for two outstanding Bartholomew County warrants.

There is no word on the condition of the unborn child.
